"The hotel has been beautifully renovated. The staff are incredible helpful and friendly. The food was wonderful. Breakfasts included anything you could want and dinners were lovely. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and right on the edge of the forest with wonderful wildlife, walk and cycle paths."

"Spent a lovely few days at the Woodlands hotel with a friend and our two dogs. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice. If you are looking to take a dog with you it's a great choice. They have a lovely big safe garden, with a gate leading straight out to the forest. There is a bar area where you are allowed to have your dog with you during breakfast and dinner and the food is very good. If you are not a doggy person, there is a separate dining room, so you don't have eat with dogs around if you don't want to. Some nice pub type restaurants just a few minutes drive away too if you are staying a few nights and want a choice of places to eat. Great choice for a New Forest break."

We stay in plenty of hotels throughout the country and this is probably the best we have found in quite some time."

"Very pretty pub with rooms in a gorgeous riverside setting. Accessed across two walkways across the river, the pub is cleverly designed and decorated, making the most of its watermill heritage. The staff are very friendly and keen to help. Our room was bigger than expected and well equipped, and supper in the conservatory overlooking the river was impressive. Breakfast too was perfect, the wonderful staff really adding to the experience. Well done team. You hit all the right spots."
