"The hotel was on the main street with shops and pubs all in walking distance. We were able to eat and drink at the Red Dragon. The only drawback was no on site parking so the car had to be left about 10 minutes walk away. This was the only issue the rest was great."

"Met expectations. Host provided selections teas coffee, milk and bread. The flat was clean and tidy. The flat was in a good location, opposite a train station. Only annoyance was the standing water in shower which didn’t drain well. Definitely would stay again."

"On arrival we was greeted with a strong smell of damp. There was a lot of spiders and dead and live wood lice all around the house. The live were taken outside and the dead were sucked up the very doggy smelling vacuum cleaner. The sofa smelt of dogs and the sink had stuck on food remnants and dead wood lice. The only good points were: the bed was comfy and the nice touch of a bottle of Prosecco. Would we recommend and stay again? Unfortunately no."

"There seems to be no mobile phone coverage at the County Lodge Carnforth. When I arrived at 8.30pm 25/5 the door was locked shut, the place was in darkness and a note attached to the door said to phone a mobile number to gain code keys and access BUT their number failed to ring. Tried multiple times, including 100m away in 3 directions. A landline number was given on the accommodation door, this also failed to ring. "House not cleaned properly, plug socket in middle bedroom hanging off wall, tv aerial cables hanging out wall in kitchen at fridge,leaking radiator in kitchen - reported to owner/management company on day 1 of holiday - no response. Had to put newspapers down to dry floor up, wall crumbling in corner of kitchen, paint flaking off numerous walls & in poor state of decoration. Have stayed in many holiday cottages which were all of much better standard - I would not recommend this cottage."
