"The room was spacious, large beds, ensuites and a lovely big living space. The lighting was a bit dim, more lamps would be good. Small things didnt work well, ie, no bedside lights, front door wouldnt lock (except for the yale), a bulb was out, we scouldnt get the phone to reception to work and wifi didnt work either. Some of the blinds need fixing too. However, lovely linen, comfy beds, great location and quiet. "

"We chose this hotel because we needed to park our van. The car park is part of the racecourse parking and we were charged £10 for our one night’s stay but, if we wanted could have exited and entered as many times within 24 hours as we liked. Hotel room was clean but a little ‘worn’ in places. Great shower and breakfast."

"Here’s a polished, firm but fair review you can use (keeps your key points but strengthens the impact): I stayed at Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa (room 50) and unfortunately had a very poor experience. I was not informed at the time of booking that a wedding would be taking place. I have no issue with events being held, but the noise continued until around 1am and made it impossible to get any sleep. When I raised this with staff, I was simply told “there’s nothing we can do as it’s a wedding.” No attempt was made to offer a solution, such as moving rooms or finding any compromise, which was very disappointing. In my view, this falls short of the standard expected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as the service was not provided with reasonable care and consideration for guests. The following morning, the reception staff were equally disappointing—dismissive and lacking any real acknowledgement of the issue. A more professional and empathetic response would have gone a long way. To add to this, the breakfast was poor. The quality of the food felt cheap, and the presentation and appearance of staff did not inspire confidence in hygiene standards. For a stay costing over £100, I expected a much higher standard across the board. "

"The best breakfast we’ve ever had in a hotel. The facilities were excellent. The communal areas had lovely artwork, sculptures and decoration. The restaurant was excellent too. We loved the local and how easy it was to walk into Chester - so we didn’t need to get in the car quite so often, which made the holiday more relaxing. The rooftop car parking was easily accessible from the hotel too. The room was comfortably big enough for 4 people and we liked the large 55inch TV. Our only note - in our room - 307 - some of the wallpaper was peeling and the paint was a bit tired."

"It was an average larger hotel but we felt a bit disappointed by our stay, unlikely to return. The room was next to a dual carriage way and noisy with the cars/smelt of petrol fumes, when requesting a change of room we didn’t get much response. The place was generally a bit run down. The breakfast was ok but limited to traditional cereals and an average cooked breakfast- little choice for vegetarians, continentals or those who wish for more healthy options. "

"Breakfast was good as was service in hotel. However I wouldn't recommend if going with children/babies. Limited facilities (no fridge in room, limited storage space for unpacking) and pool depth is 1.1m only in small section of pool with limited usage times for children, rest is 1.4m. Location itself was decent -15/20 mins from main centre. Didn't eat lunch/dinner at hotel so can't recommend. Hotel garden was nice. Free parking on site."
