"Superb staff great breakfast comfy bed"

"Great location. Right in the center of things but the hotel was a bit rundown n smelled funny. Great view of Rialto bridge and walkable for shopping, dining n famous sites like San Marcos square. But our AC didn’t work n it was too loud outside from partiers to leave windows open."

"The hotel is in a good location with an easy walk to transport. Our room was lovely, beds were comfortable and the canal view was pleasant. The staff serving breakfast were lovely and found us an iron and ironing board to use since the hotel doesn’t have an ironing room. My pet hate is the hairdryers attached to the wall that need more skill than I possess to style hair but that is common throughout Italy. Be aware that the reception is in a separate building a reasonable distance from the accomodation and you will need to carry your luggage up one or two flights of stairs. Aircon was fine and the windows open for fresh air although a little noisy during the day and early evening we didn’t spend much time there to bother and Venice is busy everywhere. There was a good tavern next door that had excellent seafood menu. It was recommended by the hotel we book a tour to Murano & Burano via them but we didn’t like the tight timeframes that herded us to one shop so we got off the tour and used public ferry which worked out way better since we could relax and explore more. Happy to recommend a stay at Palazzo Guardia"

"Best hotel I’ve ever been to, the view itself of the Grand Canal was nothing short of Spectacular! The staff were more than helpful with anything we needed from reservations to high-end restaurants, to late night drinks, and even scheduling of the local water taxi to the nearby airport. The property also includes a secluded backyard seated garden area/restaurant where you can lounge and spend the night. If I could rate this property 6 stars I would. Definitely looking forward to returning here in the future. "

"The staff communicated effectively in English and were able to assist with basic questions, which made the stay easier overall. While we did not intend to spend much time in the room, the accommodations did not match the photos presented at the time of booking, which was disappointing. Access to our assigned “orange” room required climbing 62 steps, which may be a consideration for some guests. Additionally, air conditioning was not available due to local seasonal regulations, and the room became uncomfortable at times—particularly with mosquitoes present each evening. There were also no fans provided. The room itself was minimally equipped, with very limited luggage storage, no desk, and no microwave. Lastly, while the property does offer complimentary activities or options, these were not communicated unless specifically requested. Overall, while the staff was courteous, there are several areas where clearer communication and improved room conditions would significantly enhance the guest experience."

"Room barely fit the two single beds. Really outdated (as in the 90s would be an upgrade) . Staff was fine but certainly not particularly friendly. Pretty good location and that’s the best part of it. Got a rash on my back, which I can’t think of getting from anywhere else. Really thin sheets. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend. There are better options."

"Ideal location if you want to be close to the train station. Highly recommend a grand canal view. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants and shops in short walking distance."
