"My husband and I stayed here in early September 2025. The manager of this Hotel Ala in Venice offered us a free private excursion to Murano by boat, for their guests only he said. But I wanted to warn people in advance of this... The boat left right from the back door of our hotel. We loved this. After the tour and showing us the glass display shops on Murano, we did not buy anything. Because of this, on the boat back, they dropped us off right at the first stop in Venice (driver would not take us back to the hotel when asked) and we had to walk 35 minutes in 90 degree heat, just to get back to our hotel. Instead of bringing us back to where they picked us up from. We were not told this ahead of time. It was supposed to be a tour to/from the hotel. We complained after to front desk, but they did not care. So be forewarned about "free" Murano tours. They should not be in the business of deceiving their guests."

"This hotel is in a GREAT location! I will say to pick the type of room you want carefully because we ended up in a room looking into a small alley courtyard with dirty old cleaning equipment stored in there and a bit of an ugly view. We just kept the curtains closed and weren’t in the hotel room much anyways. But for the cost of the room, I definitely expected something a wee bit better. On the upside, it was very quiet! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had good space. The shower had the best water pressure I’ve ever experienced lol I found the room/bathroom to be clean but the bathroom caulking in and around the shower was tattered and stained so it looked like it was dirty. The staff at the front desk were all great and very helpful with navigating the ferry schedules etc."

"Excellent staff! Clean! Room very quiet! Room temp was set at front desk to either heater or AC not both. At night it got a bit cool and I could not adjust the temperature a bit warmer. Gym is not on site but available nearby. Enjoyed our time at your hotel! Thank you!"

"Was just what we needed. Staff made it easy to check in and answered all our questions and helped us book our private ferry over to the train station upon departure. We stayed in the second building. Was two flights of stairs but the room was excatly what we needed. Comfortable bed, little fridge and clean. Bathroom was decent size and water pressue was great. Water also gets HOT. Was lovely after a long day. Area is also much quieter than being in the city center. Lots of cute shops and squares along the way to center. Overall was a great experiance. Try the Tavern Resturant next door! The lasagna was to die for. "
