"The Fourviere Lyon was a total surprise for us. Upon arrival, we found a high quality hotel created from an abandoned convent built in mid 1800's. The structure is built in a square with an enclosed courtyard which offers a peaceful, walkable area for the patrons. Surrounding the hotel are ancient ruins of a Roman arena. Lots of history here! "

The staff was very friendly from the reception to the restaurant We decided to have supper at restaurant both evenings as the food was very good and reasonablypriced. Room was very clean and hotel is within walking distance to Old Annecy. We enjoyed sitting on 2nd floor terrasse at bar for drinks and had a great view. Something to note that hotel is on a main street so hear cars when on terrasse or pool.Not an issue for us. (;"
