I have too many positive things to say to list them all. This is honesty the best lodging experience of my life. Great room. Great food. Peacocks! The best service in the know universe. Sample discontinued rare Scotch in the whisky room. If you find yourself in Edinburgh, stay at Prestonfield House. You won't regret it.

We had a short stay in Edinburgh, and this hotel was a real highlight. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtful, and the room felt comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, so we slept well every night. The staff were especially good. They were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, and they made the stay easy. We highly recommend The Leddie for your next visit to the East Lothian coast. The Leddie provides an elegant and upscale ambiance at a reasonable price. It was perfect for our “home base” for the East Lothian portion of our golf trip which included North Berwick, Gullane, Muirfield and Renaissance Club. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in the UK (and I've been staying at quite a few 5 star hotels). The staff was professional, friendly, and accomodating. They def pay attention to details and ensure we have the best experience. Even provided me some of the best local recs and I was quite impressed (and this is coming from a foodie like me)

Driving up to the hotel I instantly fell in love with this place. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We were arriving late and the hotel arranged for us to have sandwiches waiting which was perfect. Peebles is adorable town nearby and recommend a visit. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

We absolutely loved this hotel. Location was fantastic for walking, staff were friendly, food and beer were great, and our room and shared spaces were fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again.

The Black Ivy was so cute! The restaurant is great and it’s nice to have breakfast in your hotel and the rooms are super clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The only thing I would say is that the hot water for the shower was not very hot (to be fair I like it basically the temp of the surface of the sun) but it was above warm at best. I liked the tea and cookie set up and the room decor <3

Check in was smooth. No lift but successful in lugging 30+kg. suitcase up & down 3 flights of stairs. Room was impeccably clean. Room safe was difficult to access due to its position on floor of closet and tendency to entrap tiny objects in door which forced me to call for help. WOW!! This rental was amazing. We do weekly rentals a lot and this was probably the best we have ever stayed in. It was a full size apartment, a full living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It was large enough that a couple could easily live there full time. Everything was clean and well decorated. The host even left us a welcome note and a bottle of wine. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need. Even had a dishwasher. Nice washer and dryer as well. I could go...

It was a smaller room, with gorgeous hardwood furniture, but we only needed a room overnight to catch an early morning flight. Staff arranged a cab to go to the airport at 6:00 am, and brought a very nice plate of croissants, bananas, oranges, apples, grapes, and a kiwi fruit to the room for our breakfast the next morning. They also provided a sturdy box and packing tape to pack Scotch whiskey and presents that would not fit into our carry-on luggage.

Enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size with comfortable beds. Location is excellent: 5 min walk to the castle, and around a variety of shops and restaurants and a very safe area. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only “con” is parking for the hotel, which is about a 15 min walk away, so can be challenging if driving.

The only downside to this property really was the lack of air conditioning. It was extremely humid when we were there and no way to remove the humidity from the room. But it wasn't hot or anything, so not a big deal. The staff was super nice, the breakfast was great, everything worked well. I especially loved how declining service came with a perk or a charity donation.
