The staff at the Culloden House could not have been more helpful - from arrival, to meal service and through departure. We were a party of five and occupied three rooms - which they expertly assigned to us in close proximity The Hotel is an antique but the interiors are fabulous, bathrooms are modern and the maintenance is top notch. There is no sacrifice of comfort to preserve the antiques. The quality of foods and beverrages are on par with the quality of the Hotel. We knew our 5:00 a.m....

We absolutely loved this hotel. Location was fantastic for walking, staff were friendly, food and beer were great, and our room and shared spaces were fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again.

Driving up to the hotel I instantly fell in love with this place. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We were arriving late and the hotel arranged for us to have sandwiches waiting which was perfect. Peebles is adorable town nearby and recommend a visit. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

We loved our stay here! Great location in the West End next to the "Hop-on-Hop-off" tour bus line. Excellent restaurant. Very comfortable beds, larger than average rooms, excellent shower. I read some nit-picky reviews about this hotel on Expedia and I think those reviewers must not be frequent International travelers because this place was wonderful. Enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size with comfortable beds. Location is excellent: 5 min walk to the castle, and around a variety of shops and restaurants and a very safe area. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only “con” is parking for the hotel, which is about a 15 min walk away, so can be challenging if driving.

Convenient location allowed us to walk to all the attractions, shops, and endless dining options. The staff was friendly, the bartender was a super hard worker and great at his job, and the rooms were clean. The hotel locks the gate at night so you have to use your key to get in, which is a nice feature for safety. If you are a light sleeper, it might be too noisy for you. lovely old building, walking distance to town and trails.

The lobby area has great spaces to lounge, read a book, or meet friends. The dining areas and food were excellent. My only gripe (small in nature) was that the shampoo was unusual in that it was in a tube and did not provide sufficient suds upon use.

While it was bizarre being above a shopping mall, the hotel was great. We stayed in a mobility-accessible room which was filled with thoughtful design choices. Loved having the kitchenette, too.

We’ve been to Scotland three times, and this is the most wonderful place we’ve ever stayed! We were in Heaven. When Americans think of the Higjlands, this is what we envision.

Basically all was excellent but toilet was not cleaned one day. Very nice room but public areas need facelift. Location 6 stars.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Room large and well appointed. Steps from the central train station and literally across the street is the tr to the airport. Plenty of shops and restaurant options nearby. Walkable to historical sites. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot
