Wow! From the time you pull into the parking lot until you check out! Friendly and professional staff, spacious room and the castle is clean, clean, clean throughout! It was a smaller room, with gorgeous hardwood furniture, but we only needed a room overnight to catch an early morning flight. Staff arranged a cab to go to the airport at 6:00 am, and brought a very nice plate of croissants, bananas, oranges, apples, grapes, and a kiwi fruit to the room for our breakfast the next morning. They also provided a sturdy box and packing tape to pack Scotch whiskey and presents that would not fit into our carry-on luggage.

We highly recommend The Leddie for your next visit to the East Lothian coast. The Leddie provides an elegant and upscale ambiance at a reasonable price. It was perfect for our “home base” for the East Lothian portion of our golf trip which included North Berwick, Gullane, Muirfield and Renaissance Club. Driving up to the hotel I instantly fell in love with this place. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We were arriving late and the hotel arranged for us to have sandwiches waiting which was perfect. Peebles is adorable town nearby and recommend a visit. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Check in was smooth. No lift but successful in lugging 30+kg. suitcase up & down 3 flights of stairs. Room was impeccably clean. Room safe was difficult to access due to its position on floor of closet and tendency to entrap tiny objects in door which forced me to call for help. Staff and locals very friendly to outsiders. We loved being at the house with the locals and there dogs. We were missing ours so much! Food delicious, and the sightseeing around and near village was gorgeous!!

We were a very last minute reservation as our flight was unexpectedly cancelled. The owners were incredibly welcoming & kind. The rooms are small but cozy & each has an en-suite bathroom. Enormous & well equipped kitchen for all residents to use. Short walk to public transportation.

We had a short stay in Edinburgh, and this hotel was a real highlight. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtful, and the room felt comfortable.
