Fair enough before we arrived they offered us to bid for early check-In and swap house keeping for a drink for each person at the bar which would have been £6.60 for a small house wine. We had no response to say whether the early check-In was confirmed so we rang on the morning of arrival and said we would be there for 11:30 any chance of early check-In, the guy couldn’t do enough for us and made sure a room was ready for when we arrived. "Spacious room with view towards the Minster. Everything in the hotel was spotless and well maintained . Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We also had dinner which was lovely and well presented . All the staff we met on our visit couldn't have been nicer or more helpful ."

"We were unlucky enough to be staying on the hottest weekend of the year. The Yorkshire is an old and apparently a listed building so there is no air conditioning and boy did we need it checking into the hotel in the middle of a record breaking heatwave with temperatures of 35oC. Amazingly, the hotel seemed to have gone out of their way to make matters even worse: - on the sun facing side of the hotel, the windows in our room were open and the curtains drawn back - there was a barely functional...

"Great location and the staff was great. No AC in the room so the room on the 3rd floor was HOT. They did give me fan but only way to get air flow was to prop the door open. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. If you don’t mind a toasty night sleep all good. They were working lobby renovations today but it didn’t interfere with anything."
