"This used to be a 5 star hotel but badly needs refurbishment. It looks like it has had no maintenance for ages. The wooden slats are rotting and dont feel safe underfoot.The doors dont close properly and the shower/bath are really worn out. So in the end you get what you pay for. A pool villa for this price is unbelievable but this resort is really three star at best. There is a very ordinary a la carte breakfast and no food available at lunch and very little at dinner. "The Amari hotel and residence is a large complex with the usual hotel amenities, all of which are available if you're staying in the residence/condo section. The pool and gym are particularly good. "Nice beach resort with an excellent beach when the tide is out but no beach when it’s in. The Italian restaurant was mediocre at best and over-priced, but the other 2 restaurants were nice as was the excellent breakfast. The room was spacious but there was no place to sit except a desk chair. It was also exceedingly damp. The main issue for us was the use of the space in front of our room for events causing some noise. "
