Family Hotels in Southern Region from AED 416

My husband, daughter (20), and I stayed at The Garage for 2 nights (April 30-May 2). This is one of my favorite places we have ever stayed! If you plan to stay overnight in south Iceland do not miss this gem. The location is close to all the sights and activities, but the Garage is so comfortable and charming you might not want to leave the property! Cool decor and design, large and comfortable room, great amenities, and a wonderful family that owns/operates the Garage makes this a unique spot....

This property is somewhat remote for some people, but we LOVED it! Location was central between our destinations. Everything was available and seemed quite new. Has a fridge, dishwasher, fabulous shower, stove, and oven. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. We loved staying here and hope others will choose to do the same!

We absolutely loved staying here. The location of the house was perfect for driving the Golden Circle. And we loved sitting in the hot tub looking for Northern Lights and star gazing. Also loved all of the oversized windows and mountain backdrop. Home and beds were warm and comfy! Perfect for our family! We wish we could stayed longer. Thank you so much! God bless!

Accomodation is perfect for a family of 4. Home away from home, it had all the amenities you need and a super accomodating host!

Loved my stay. I was only there for the weekend but its close enough to things I wanted to see on the southern coast of Iceland. Would definitely stay here in the future.

Great location, right across from the Geysirs and 10 minutes to Gullfoss waterfall. The room was spacious. Hotel common area was lovely and quiet. The only negative was the room was warm (no AC and no fan); the only solution is to turn the heat off and open the door (but there are quite a bit of insects in the area). At the hotel restaurant we ordered the chicken wings (very good), lamb chops (good), hamburger (odd).

Just amazing. We saw northern lights

Ironically the absolute best place we stayed in all of Iceland. Amenities like a kitchen and hot tub and just the amazing view made this extremely worthwhile. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and responsive to my questions. Even providing suggestions. Location was perfect for the Golden Circle. So dark at night we saw the Northern lights in late August. We loved this cabin. Would definitely come again.

Fabulous inn and location, great staff, excellent food and service. On site spa was a bonus! Highly recommend staying here, just wish we had longer.

Kristinn, the host was amazing. We simply asked for a later check out and she gave us an additional 2 hours, no problem. Place was adorable, hot-tubs were hot, plenty of parking for us all.

Askot Cottages are beyond phenomenal! Our best stay in Iceland. The cottage design is thoughtful and purposeful. Every little detail adds to the comfort and experience for the guest. The instructions are presented in a beautifully designed booklet that was clear and complete. All the amenities were stocked and high quality. I wish every place I stayed could be this perfect! A very pl Asante experience, we enjoyed the bar and dinner right after, the hotel is only a year and a half away must stop on the first day of tour ring trip .

Would have preferred a room with an enclosed shower.. other than that, it was perfect

It was on a cute farm in the beautiful South Coast countryside. I was able to see the Northern Lights clearly from the property in Mid-August!

Rooms are small but well aware. They are cozy, comfortable with kitchenette. The restaurant on site has fantastic food! Staff was friendly and helpful!!

I am between providing a 4 star or 5 star review, but will tip it up to 5. It’s probably like a 4.25. Overall was one of our favorite stays in Iceland. The cottages are so unique, it was really fun to stay here and I’m so glad we did! I would totally recommend to anyone staying in the area. A few notes: 1. The cottage fits 2 adults comfortably. 4 adults would be a very tight squeeze and wouldn’t be a comfortable stay. There is very little storage space to stow bags for 4 adults, and the...
