A member of staff then escorted me to the access door on the 4th floor to ensure it worked the 3rd time."

"Great location right beside the metro and a shopping strip mall. We stayed in family room 411 and the internet rarely worked. They tried resetting the modem, but that didn’t help. . They offered to move us the 2nd day, but when we checked there were no family rooms available that day to switch to. Other than the internet access the hotel was nice. "

"Excellent room. Jacuzzi bath made it extra special. You need to wear ear plugs at night other it would be difficult to sleep with noise from bars and nightclub. 10 minutes on train to Amsterdam and trsins are very regular. Restaurants all very close by. Would definitely visit again "

"My stay was fantastic! The location was amazing, and the staff was friendly. I opted out of the breakfast, which was a mistake. I ended up adding it on later. I thought that I would be able to grab something at a local café, but nothing opened until around 10am. This could’ve been because of the time of year I went. "Second stay here and the staff are excellent. The bar and restaurant are also very good. We stayed on a very windy weekend and it felt like a cosy sanctuary. It is in very close proximity to Amsterdam with enough interest locally to make it a unique spot. great service and my ageing parents were made to feel very welcome. "

"We have a continuous problem with the Valk chain. From birth I am Dutch but have now English nationality. I changed my surname slightly in England to make it easier for English people. Whenever there's a reservation made for us the staff are told how we spell our surname. Valk is one of the few who simply ignore this, choosing the Dutch spelling instead. We have now decided that in future we will choose other hotels, even if it means a lot of extra miles driving."
