A beautiful, historic property with fabulous views over the lake to the Alps. Excellent staff and service. A very good meal in an elegant dining room with a view to the waterfall. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling in the Interlsken area.

Excellent

We would go back. I loved it. My husband was a little less enthusiastic partly because we had to haul our bags up a couple short flights of stairs and partly because he had to duck while walking around the room. The ceiling was quite low and he is 6 ft tall. :) I’m not certain he was actually going to hit his head it was more that it felt like he might. Amazing breakfast in a very quaint old room. If you are looking for modern this isn’t it, but if you like some national heritage and a good...

Excellent stay here, 3 minute walk from the train station. Beautiful views. The staff who I believe were the owners went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. They go the extra mile prepping breakfast. Would recommend to any of my family members or friends.

Beautiful location and view of the lake. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The Mountain View’s were beautiful! Breakfast was great! Wonderful staff! Would love to come back again! Thank you!

Absolutely excellent, every component. Room was beautiful, staff helpful and attentive, perfect location, great spa, great breakfast. Will stay here again.

I liked the hotel itself and the location, however this was all self service property. When you get there, you have to use a machine to check in, there’s literally no human individual to welcome you in, not one soul. They didn’t offer clean service, at all. We stayed two nights, and though the hotel room was very nice and clean the breakfast sucked!! They only offer coffee, pastries, fruit, cheese and yogurt. I felt like blah… wouldn’t book here again. The location however was perfect for the...

Hosts were friendly and it is my best experience ever in my life!

Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. The restaurant offered good Swiss food and a nice breakfast buffet. Staff were very nice. It’s right up the hill from the train station, so very convenient. They will pick you up if...

This is an amazing hotel perfectly situated directly across from Grindelwald First. When I say directly across, I mean you can be at Grindelwald First in less than 5 mins. Less than that if you can walk a slight incline quickly. You are also perfectly situated by the shops and restaurants! The hotel is beautiful! The upgraded rooms are amazing and the amenities are to die for. I had a single upgraded room that had a balcony facing the Wetterhorn. I would enjoy my coffee on the balcony each...

It was one of the most beautiful places in the area. The staff ere extremely nice and helpful. Very convenient, close to the train and bus stations. Highly recommended

Very close to the station but quiet. Nice staff and good service.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. We were made to feel right at home. Mark and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well cared for and the rooms are comfortable. The common areas are charming and spacious. The restaurant offers great food with generous portions and a nice offering of local and other wines. Mark provided great suggestions for things to do. The ride up the aerial cablecar to Brienzer Rothorn was a highlight, offering exceptional views of...

Now, I’m going to be honest. The rooms are not updated or fancy…more like a holiday inn….but the staff more than makes up for the simple/old rooms. Every single person was so nice, kind, and helpful. Georgia was especially helpful to us! We appreciated her advice! The outdoor deck was beautiful, and the restaurant was fantastic! Also, the location could not be better with amazing views.

Very comfortable hotel. Would stay there again. Walkable to everything.

Central, convenient, easy access to all mountain excursions. Wonderful view of the surrounding mountains right in your face.

This hotel was great for our stay. Close to the bus and train and a great location. It was clean and roomy and we had a great time. We recommend to anyone visiting Switzerland.
