"This was amazing! Great staff, great location AND there's even a swimming hole (5 min walk, if that) with a waterfall! I've never stayed in a shared house before, but this one has spoiled me! It's close enough to be able to drive to all the good tourist spots. Oh, and hopefully you're there for the "big" farmers market on Saturdays. If I get back to the Big Island I'll be coming back here! Thank you for the great time!"

"We had the ocean view room on the second floor. It was newly renovated, with a beautiful private bathroom and beautiful wood work throughout. We were a bit spoiled when we were there, since there were no other guests on our floor during our stay. The kitchen and living room were spacious and well equipped, and Josh was always there to help us if we needed it. We would definitely stay here in the future"

"We had a great stay at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. The highlight was the exceptional customer service, especially from Charla at the front desk. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and patient, even while handling a difficult guest. She truly made us feel welcome. We also enjoyed WSW | The Steakhouse. The bartender was knowledgeable and made great drink recommendations, and our Sunday evening waitress provided excellent service. The hotel could use a few cosmetic updates. We noticed a couple of small stains on the sheets, the bathtub finish was worn in places, and the towel rack in our room was loose. Despite that, the room and hotel overall felt clean, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Overall, the outstanding staff and welcoming atmosphere made this an easy place to recommend. We’d happily stay here again."
