"Lovely property - fabulous room."

"New village hotel set on the river between Reading and Caversham. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had to pay £10 for overnight parking and £5 for overnight use of the facilities (pool and gym). The room was large with good bathroom and shower. Very good blackout blinds. Large TV, good WiFi, kettle - coffee and tea, air conditioning. Very comfortable bed. Great facilities-pool,sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. There is a Starbucks on site and a large bar and cafe area. We enjoyed walking along the river and using the pool. We found a pub that did very good Indonesian and Asian food close by and a very good local cafe for lunch. A very enjoyable overnight stay."

"The Family Room was beautifully decorated and very clean. There were separate bedrooms so really it was like a suite. The Bathroom is beautiful with a roll top Bath and very large Shower Enclosure with very powerful Shower. The Pub itself is lovely. The staff were very helpful. The Bull is very central to everything and the river so great for dog walking. The fans in the room were not working properly so a bit hot but we brought our own small tower fans. Overall Excellent."

"My bijou little room was on the first floor of the inn (as opposed to some rooms they have in separate buildings). Quite a nice little room but no view and I had to climb onto the bed to open the velux window. When I opened the bathroom window I had unfortunate cooking smells from the kitchen extractor which was a few feet away, so I only opened it outside meal times. There was no information in the room so I had to wait until the morning to get the WiFi code - I think this should have been given to me on arrival. The last issue was that there was no hairdryer in the room and I didn’t take my travel one as usually they are available in hotels - I would have liked to wash my hair on my last morning. The breakfasts were average. I still enjoyed my stay as I have family living close by. Would I stay there again? Maybe if I asked for a different room without breakfast and ate elsewhere."

"We received a warm welcome and enjoyed a super Sunday lunch. Our room was in excellent condition for our overnight stay and we enjoyed a good breakfast. Overall a lovely chilled stay in a quiet pretty village on the River Thames. Would we return? …. Certainly."
