This place was just a gem! Such friendly service way above and beyond. The building is absolutely beautiful. Walked into the coziest pub with a nice fire going and friendly service. Can't wait to come back!

Stayed for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay there. Friendly staff and facilities are excellent with well maintained grounds and gardens. Nice spot to get away from the hustle and bustle yet be relatively close to London.

Never been to Watford (from US) but took a chance. Turned out to be an amazing place. Cool old UK pub and above, modern chic rooms. Ann Maria was the bartender and hotel host and she was outstanding and a hoot. She treated us like family from the moment she met us. Sean the manager treated us the exact same way. Very clean and convenient stay if you’re in Watford for the day going to Harry Potter Studios in “London”. It’s actually about 20 min from LHR airport and 45min-1Hr from London proper. The staff was super helpful with charging adapters, towels , and directions. It was a short, clean stay! Recommend for day trips to Watford if you’re going to HP studios.

Great people and very friendly. The English breakfast is huge, and extremely tasty. The bed was a little bit lumpy, and might need to be replaced soon, but I would stay with them again if I were to go to Royston again.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice and pleasant room and beds. Great location - only about a 10-minute walk to either of the two train/London Overground stations. Felt safe overall walking back to the hotel even at night - for a family with two children. The fast National Rail train takes only 15-20 minutes to get to London-Euston station from Watford Junction.
