"This was my first time staying in a hostel. It was very well set up. Easy to check in. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the facility. Our room was a bit noisy due to being beside the bathroom but they have rules to keep things quiet during night time hours. We just needed an area to sleep so we did not make use of the other parts of the facility but it looked very well maintained and the shared kitchen area looked very well organized. "I had a two night stay at Glenbrittle while visiting Isle of Skye. The room was comfy enough (a little cramped for ten people), the bathrooms were nice and very clean, the common areas were well stocked and cozy. There's also a great waterfall right across the road from the hostel and plenty of sheep and lambs to watch in the evenings. "

"The property was nestled in the lovely mountains of the Highlands. It was gorgeous. It was also a nice drive to and from the Isle of Skye area. The staff, in particular, were very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. They were hardworking and kept the place clean and tidy. Would highly recommend."

"It was great. So much better than expected. Beware only three people can cook at a time as there is only three cookers. That said the kitchen is a very good size and generally well equipped. Good sized dinning room. Overall the centre is well equipped, serviced and friendly helpfull staff. Add to boot about a ten minute walk to the town for supplies etc."

"We stayed 4 nights in a private room. Overall, the hostel is spacious, clean, comfortable, and friendly. However, we did find the room really hot without much airflow. My only other complaint is that two nights we experienced issues with drunk adults. One of the adults was working the desk a few days later, which is not appropriate. These disturbances were not handled by the staff, which was unfortunate, as it disturbed the evening for all guests. "

"Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm."

"Pretty disappointed overall with my stay. Had there been other options when booking last minute I wouldn't have booked. The room had long black hairs all over the floor and bed when I arrived. The sheet was very thin with dirt on it. Issues that had to be fixed like the window getting stuck and the shower tap being stuck on scalding hot. "As hostels go, it was fine. Plenty of space, a decent kitchen and dining area separate from a seating area. 20mins bus ride from town or £8.40 in a taxi isn’t ideal nor is the lack of a drying room. This last one would think a prerequisite given the location and clientele but apparently not."
