"We absolutely loved our stay! The location was fantastic—we really enjoyed being right by the Ala Wai Canal. We also loved how close it was to a 7-Eleven and a great food truck spot, which made grabbing snacks and meals super convenient. "I love the property was private but still in the middle of Waikiki. Staff were great. And accommodating. I just wish my family could have been all in the same floor. House keeping was thoughtful and very helpful. They wrote thank you notes for us. . Bell staff were very welcoming especially RJ. He was very genuine , funny and exuded the aloha spirit. We had three rooms for our family and he made sure all of us felt welcomed every single time we walked in the hotel. When we left he personally took care of all our luggage’s and weighed it. He took off all the worries. Thank you RJ! Everyone should follow suit!"

"Loved the hotel and location was excellent. 3 main issues. The pool is open until 9pm which I wouldn’t normally be bothered about but guests using the pool came and stood amongst guest dining at the grille to listen to the live music. When I’m eating I don’t want a half naked man stood next to me. Also in the evening there was nowhere outside just to sit and have a drink. All the seating was for the grille eating. Lastly on Friday and Saturday the area around the pool where the sun beds were was taken up for a private party/ event resisting the number of sun beds for guests The hotel itself though very impressed with. On the beach. Friendly helpful staff. Away from the main strip but close enough to walk to"

"Absolutely LOVED our stay here. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Location is PRIME. Close to just about everything, great dining and shops and the beach is ACROSS the street. No more than a 10-15 minute walk gets you to even quieter and more remote beach locations. We honestly did realize how much we loved this hotel until we switched locations for the second part of our trip and we missed it! There IS street noise but ANY of the hotels in this location would have the same issue. By night 2 we barely noticed. It’s a busy part of the island! I’m a hospitality snob and truly would recommend this Hyatt to absolutely anyone!"

OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel

"We honeymooned at the Beachcomber in 1999. We are sentimental so we always stay at the Beachcomber and visited them four of the past five years. Three things stood out this time around. First, when I booked our nine night stay on Expedia, I was not given the option to request the ocean view deluxe room which we usually book, therefore we were given a room on a much lower floor than we’ve ever been on before. The view was not the same and it was a disappointment. Secondly, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. We had a hard time getting to sleep and would wake up sore. Third, the Beachcomber was much busier this time around. I like that people are enjoying the property as we usually do, but it was harder to find space at the pool, Aroma was swamped, and most days the elevators were packed. Ahuana was an amazing show and having it hosted by the property was very convenient."
