"This is possibly the most unique, charming hotel in which I've ever stayed. A retrofitted ship, the guest rooms and public rooms are stylish, elegant and comfortable. The location, within a 3km stroll of the Royal Mile, is perfect, surrounded by restaurants and attractions. As for the staff .... it would be very difficult for me to overstate how superb they are. Polite, friendly, attentive, completely charming; had only the most positive interactions with every staff person we encountered....

"Hotel was easy to find and approximately 10 minute walk from the tram station which takes you into the city centre or to the airport. Room was clean and comfortable however the walls are very thin and as such this makes for a noisy atmosphere. We could hear people coming in late at night and leaving early in the morning. However this was my only real problem with the hotel. Decent for price. "

"Kilconquhar Castle Estate was a perfect place to rest and recharge. Our cottage was great except for the mattress on the master bed. It was quite hard. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. Needless to say the food at the Estate was great. There was also great food at the Kilconquhar Inn. It was the perfect distance from St. Andrews and Edinburgh. We will definitely stay again."

"Check in was the best I've ever had! Tea or coffee with shortbread in the front room, Matthew went through all the details and gave some great info of the area, helped with bus times too. "Perfect location to reach all major attractions. Bring in the Grassmarket is wonderful for the castle, dining, shopping, and tours. Great staff as well who was very kind and informative. We stayed in a family suite and it was very nice. It’s is Edinburgh though, so if you plan on walking be ready for hills and stairs. Hotel was very accommodating in getting transportation for my grandmother. Looking forward to a return visit. "
