"The location was great. The staff is very friendly and warm. The hotel offered beach towels, chairs, coolers, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. All the rooms are ocean front and the view was lovely. Now for the bad....
The rooms are is disrepair. Very old and outdated, very dingy and dirty. Stains on the bedding, dust and grease over all of the furniture, towel bars falling off the walls, ant traps and rat traps everywhere. The mattresses were horribly uncomfortable, with dents and springs poking through. It was uncomfortable to touch anything in the room due to how dirty things were. The AC unit had black mold growing inside (the cover was broken so we had full view of the inner workings). We were not able to use it, and my son had respiratory symptoms every time we returned to the room and all night.
Our room was right in the middle of four rooms who were all traveling together. So each night they would gather and roam back and forth between the rooms, loud and intoxicated and late into the wee hours of the morning. Then, the cherry on top - the fire alarm started malfunctioning and was beeping constantly from friday until we checked out monday. And the alarm was directly outside our door. It went all night long for 3 nights. we got no sleep. We were told there was nothing they could do about it. No offer was made to move us to a different room or discount our stay or compensate us in some way for this awful experience. We will not be returning here. "
