"This is a fabulous hotel just across from the famous geyser, on the golden circle. We were there only one night and I wish we would’ve had more time there. The rooms are modern, with all the amenities you might need. Everything about the room was exceptional: the bed was very comfortable, the shower had plenty of water, pressure and hot water, and they had blackout curtains to help with the midnight sun. "This is the kind of place you want to stay at when you stay in Iceland. Cabin near a running lake, gorgeous views and Icelandic horses to pet. Very comfortable cabin for 4 with beautiful views from the large glass windows. Do not miss out on this place. Its very close to Seljalandsfoss. Highly recommend it, you will not regret it. "

"Beautiful property with wonderful hosts. Probably our favourite spot we stayed at during our trip. Rooms were spacious and clean, with bathrooms. The area around the property is also beautiful. The cherry on top was the waffles in the morning! I would go out of my way to stay here again. "
"Asked for room upgrade was told not available. Hotel did not look full. Offered free drink, then told wrong drink ordered & had to pay. Room was outside of main hotel in add on units. Beds were OK, small fridge and sink, bathroom very small. Restaurant food good, very limited choices. Hot tub and sauna nice. very nice sitting areas throughout the hotel, probably to view the northern lights. Gym nice. Short drive to most places in the area. "

"We never heard other guests. It felt really private. The staff was all friendly. The food at the restaurant was great. The breakfast buffet was very good but was the same everyday. The location was perfect. We had a rental car, shout out to Sixt, and hit so many beautiful sites. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Hotel Grimsborgir. "
"Arrived 9pm or so. Sauna & hot tub closed already despite daylight til after midnight. No upgrades were available to me per hotel. Hotel did not appear full. Room was ok, small, clean, twin beds and a cot which was extremely uncomfortable. Bathroom, huge however no hot water for morning showers. Informed clerk and was offered a free soda. Free breakfast was good. Technology great. Nice sitting areas throughout probably for viewing the northern lights."
