"The night I stayed the petrol station next to hotel was being refurbished. That meant jack hammers and floodlights throughout the night - the poor staff didnt know anything about it until they started and were very apologetic - staff were very good. Professional, welcoming, friendly and helpfull. However - the room I stayed in was a bit grubby (lights on side of bed showed how dusty the room and carpet were). "The very close proximity to the Birmingham International airport makes this hotel a good choice. It’s a very short walk across the street which was a real treat. The hotel rooms and corridors are showing wear and tear. My room was clean but it was overdue for paint and carpet replacement. I would stay there again largely for the convenient access to the airport terminal."

"The staff were lovely, and the restaurant and rooms were very nice. Only major issue was that the carpet in our room was soaking wet, possibly from the previous guest or some kind of plumbing issue, and the whole room smelled of damp. Thankfully they moved us to a new room, and we had no issues after that."

"This was a wonderful place to break up my journey as I drove from Stockport to Farnborough. It's a charming, characterful piece of British heritage that's been lovingly preserved and appropriately modernised. The staff are efficient and welcoming, the choice and quality of the breakfast is incredible for what I paid, and I slept well. I stayed in room 8, which is a moderately sized double room. The ensuire bathroom has a walk in shower. My only notes were that the technology such as the TV and wifi are about due an upgrade—the Internet connection is usable but the speed varies a lot depending on which particular wifi network you connect to. It's also worth being aware that as it's a very old building, so the floors are uneven in places, you need to duck a lot if you're over 6 foot like me, and noise does travel up from the bar downstairs, but not late enough to disturb sleep in my experience. Also, do make yourself aware of the restrictions for the council pay and display car park round the back. I'd definitely recommend The Greyhound to anyone else passing through, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again."

"Brilliant and very helpful staff, Cristina particularly so. Everyone seemed anxious to help and make things easy. Air con particularly cold and difficult to turn off but reception came to my rescue. Otherwise a great stay, very quiet and clean room, definitely would recommend staying there and so close to the NEC."
