"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel De La Ville in Florence. The property and the staff were amazing from the time we stepped into the lobby. The location is perfect and allowed us to come back for a rest from the many things to do in Florence when needed. It is also within walking distance of the train station. The breakfast is also amazing, it dues however get busy around 7:30am. Our room was perfect for a family of 3, 2 adults and a teenager. Would highly recommend. "

"Very hard to find and poor customer service. Hotel name not displayed on building, only marked on glass door inside lobby entrance which isnt visible when walking past. Arrived when bar packed with people standing outside 5 deep blocking any sight of the already hard to find hotel entrance. Showed bouncer the hotel name on my phone asking if I was in right place and they said no. Went around in circles for 10 mins trying to find alternative entrance before going back to bar area then seeing the hotel name on the internal glass door. Bouncer had given me poor information delaying my check-in. Room decor was nice and bed v comfortable but 1 night other guests delayed me from going to sleep due to making lots of noise. Then their loud noise woke me up in middle of the night and went on some time. Tried to reach Reception by their Whatsapp, the Hotels.com app and main external Reception phone number. They didnt respond for half an hour - unacceptable when help needed overnight. Was awake for an hour overall in middle of night due to this noise, after already taking longer to fall asleep due to it. At checkout next morning I told Reception I would make a complaint. They apologised and said I had to submit complaint through Hotels.com. I did that and Hotels.com said I should contact hotel. When I said I already had, they contacted the hotel who refused to provide any compensation due to the disruption. V poor customer service. Avoid."

"Had an amazing time. The room was lovely, clean and the service from staff including the domestics was excelent. Staff at reception could not do enough. Very helpful. Breakfadt was very good and location in the heart of everything. Thank you for amazing time, wish l could stay longer"

"The two best things about this hotel were its location and the staff. It’s located a 30 second walk from Santa Maria del fiore in one direction and Piazza Republica in the other. The staff were super helpful and accommodated well for our family. The only aspect we didn’t like was the breakfast which was very basic but there are lots of eating places within a minutes walk. Overall, I would stay here again for its location and staff"
