"Our stay was fine for the short time we were there as a place to lay our heads but for the price we paid I was a little disappointed. In all honesty The beds felt like a horse has broken them in, we have all woken up with sore backs today so definitely need adjusting (or even a mattress topper) the curtains were very thin so we were all woken up with the light first thing which was also frustrating as we wanted to make the most of the rest. "This hotel has a great location just outside Colchester in the University Campus. Lovely staff - very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast, but limited dinner options for the vegetarian /vegans. Our room in the old part of the hotel was nicely decorated but had an odd layout and an uncomfortable bed. I was told the new wing of the hotel is better. Notwithstanding that, it was a good stay and great value for money."
