"Our stay was fine for the short time we were there as a place to lay our heads but for the price we paid I was a little disappointed. In all honesty The beds felt like a horse has broken them in, we have all woken up with sore backs today so definitely need adjusting (or even a mattress topper) the curtains were very thin so we were all woken up with the light first thing which was also frustrating as we wanted to make the most of the rest. "First time I've stayed at Holiday Inn, what can I say it was great. I didn't want to leave, so much to do in Southend, and the hotel was above standard. From the minute I walked in, until I left my stay was comfortable, peaceful and just what I needed. I will return. Close to a small retail outlet, but it is quiet you wouldn't know.. and handy for the airport."
