"This is a lovely hotel in a rural setting but relatively close (around 10min) to the M4. Driving up the narrow lane to the hotel set the mood for me, quiet and tranquil. The staff throughout the stay were friendly and accomodating. This was a business trip and we hosted a business dinner at the restaurant. The service was very good as was the food. Again the entire approach was very relaxed which allowed for a great evening. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Even though the building is quite old (wooden floor boards, etc.) there was no noise issues. Everything in the room was spotless. The only minor point is that the hotel is quite old but well maintained but it is showing it's age in some areas. This is nothing that would put me off staying there again and would recommend it for families too. I would love to return and have some spare time to explore some of the hotels other amenities. "
