Ryokans in Minamikoma District

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had traveling. The onsen was incredibly beautiful, clean, and serene, and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The food especially stood out as one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan. I highly, highly recommend this onsen!

I had a wonderful experience! They staff was so friendly and kind. I enjoyed many activities such as the morning service, yoga, and sutra class. The food was unique, delicious and filling. This is a great place to visit if you want to have a more authentic experience in Japan.

A unique experience! Comfortable, very clean, and the staff were very hospitable. The onsen were very relaxing. Most notable was the food—absolutely stunning presentation and very interesting (we are new to Japanese food). The ryokan is on the quieter side of town but it’s still possible to walk to the attractions, especially on the path beside the lake.

We splurged on this hotel and it was magical! They offer a free shuttle from the train station, super easy to get to from Tokyo. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful once you get in! We got the private onsen room, that had a lovely view of Mt. Fuji from the window seat (love the window seat) and the onsen. Dinner came with the room and it was an incredible 10 course tasting menu (with vegetarian/vegan options). Also included was access to the lounge with the best massage chair ever, snacks...

I saw someone share photos of this Onsen on instagram and had to see if they had rooms available. I’m so glad I did! The property is stunning, the staff are incredibly warm and kind, and the food was exceptional. I got a room with a balcony over the fish pond and a private bath and I enjoyed every second of my stay. I will absolutely come back the next time I am in Japan. Staff was very nice, attentive, and helpful. They even greeted my girlfriend and I at the shuttle entrance. They are also very apologetic that there is a language barrier, although we are the ones who should be apologetic! Loved this stay and will for sure come back.

My friends and I stayed here for one night during what was supposed to be the peak time for Sakura in Lake Yamanakako. This place did not disappoint despite the Sakura being shy. The view from our room And the rooftop was incredible, the owners and workers were also incredibly kind and attentive. Overall we felt so grateful for our experience.

Beautiful property and private onsen. Very spacious room (regular room) with great features like sights into the private garden, additional seating and luggage area, large bathroom and our favorite part, the private onsen. The onsen was a very nice stone material great for two and a perfect temperature of 42/107 degrees. Great bathroom and large t.v. Visited with my family recently. It’s a family owned property, excellent service and very friendly staff. Owners went above and beyond at every opportunity, including dropping 7 of us with luggage at nearby bus stop. Breakfast was yummy and thank you for accommodating our vegetarian request!! Enjoyed Ryokan with traditional night wear too ! We would highly recommend this wonderful place at foothills in Mt. Fuji with Lake Yamanakako lake in walkable distance.

A great experience, friendly staff and the room was spacious and clean. We got a western style room.

This is our second stay at hotel hagoromo and our family truly enjoys staying here. The staff is warm and welcoming and very helpful. It is very peaceful and serene , truly a hidden treasure. We look forward to staying again on our next visit!

The staff was incredibly nice and the incl. buffet breakfast and omakase dinner was excellent. The in room private onsen was very nice with views of Mt. Fuji. The nightly drum show was a nice touch. 10/10 recommend!

It was very fun to be so pampered and taken care of. As soon as we arrived, the staff were there ready to pamper us. One of the ladies spoke English, and was very helpful in navigating our first stay at a Ryokan. Dinner was very fun. The onsens were an exciting new experience as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
