"It was very fun to be so pampered and taken care of. As soon as we arrived, the staff were there ready to pamper us. One of the ladies spoke English, and was very helpful in navigating our first stay at a Ryokan. Dinner was very fun. The onsens were an exciting new experience as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it."

"So our last min trip left us with few practical hotels to chose from. I decided to try a Japanese styled hotel/hostel. That means sleeping on the floor and minimal furniture. It also meant shared bathrooms and showers!😩 The verdict?!?! It was fun! Me and the kids basically built a fort and slept in it. The futons made the floor kinda comfy. "Words cannot do justice to describe how beautiful this location is. We were absolutely stunned when we arrived not only by the beauty of the surrounding area but the building itself. The property is large and has tons of beautiful gardens and ponds to enjoy while you stay. The food is also absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. We really appreciated the staff and their service while we were there. I highly recommend this stay!"

"Staff was very kind and accommodating. Bath was very nice. Elevators were small and had to wait around a long time to catch an elevator when the facility was crowded. Food was beautiful and fresh, but a little advanced for kids. Wish they had a little bit more western breakfast choices. Rooms and futons were comfortable and clean. Facility could be updated a little bit, but overall was acceptable stay. Thank you. "

"I’m as disappointed with Expedia as I am this hotel. When I made the reservation I clearly indicated it was for two people. It showed there were twin beds. When I got there they said because there was an extra person (my wife) I had to pay $75 extra for that night. I will never use Expedia again. This is the second negative episode in a week I have had with Expedia in which there were a “screw-ups”"

"I absolutely loved staying here! Although the building is somewhat dated… the service was exceptional, the beds were so fluffy and comfortable, the showers were hot and strong, and the location was key. The concierge at the front desk spoke great english, and helped us book our train tickets, navigate through the area to find the best eating spots, and booked us an in-room massage. The lakeview was stunning, and the hotel was only a short wall to the Fuji Panoramic Gondola, the Sake Brewery Tour which were highlights of our stay. Also, only a short walk to the Kawaguchico Station which is a central hub for buses headed to the Fuji Subaru 5th station on Mount Fuji, as well as other lakes and regions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND "

"The property is right in front of Lake Kawaguchi and the room was spacious with a western-style bedroom and a Japanese tatami room. It came with an in-room sauna. We also enjoyed a private onsen with a Mt. Fuji view. Highly recommended place to stay. Staff members are friendly and professional. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Close enough to shrines and activities."
