"The Delta Bristol was very modern, clean, and comfortable; staff were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast selection was incredibly varied, more than those that I've seen at other hotels. Only complaint was that the mattresses were a bit on the hard side, but we had that sorted with an extra cover provided."

"A Wonderful Stay for the Bristol Hot Air Balloon Festival We booked a Classic Gorge Vista Room – Valley View, and the reception team kindly arranged a top-floor (3rd floor) room for us. The view was fantastic, with the hot air balloons rising right in front of us. We were lucky enough to enjoy two launches — around 6pm on arrival and 6am the following morning. Although the room rate was higher during the festival, it was absolutely worth it! The room was quiet and comfortable, air conditioning. The mattress was slightly soft for our preference, and the room and bathroom lighting were a little dark, but overall everything was clean and comfortable. We booked dinner for 6pm, which was another highlight. We could sit comfortably by the large restaurant windows, enjoying our meal while watching the balloons rise. Most importantly, we didn’t have to squeeze in with the crowds outside or fight for a viewing spot. We could simply relax, enjoy our food and watch the spectacular balloons in comfort. A truly memorable experience. The Roast Pavé of Cod was excellent. The Braised Lamb Shoulder was a little salty, but still enjoyable. The Honey Roasted Butternut Squash with dukkah was delicious, and the Almond Cake was lovely. The next morning, we watched the balloons again from our room and the restaurant terrace before breakfast. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The beautiful view, peaceful surroundings, good food and the chance to watch the balloons comfortably without the crowd"

"The hotel was clean and tidy and in a very convenient location. There is no hotel parking, but there are two car parks very close by which offer discounted rates for hotel guests. I used Q-Park, booked online before visiting, and used the code provided by the hotel on the online booking page, which made parking very straightforward. We were initially given a room overlooking all the bars, casino and games area. Unfortunately, this was very noisy and we struggled to sleep on our first night. I went to reception the following morning and requested a room change to the other side of the hotel. The staff were extremely polite, understanding and more than happy to help, and the room change was arranged without any problem. One useful tip when booking: the rooms overlooking the bar area are the odd-numbered rooms, while the even-numbered rooms are on the quieter side of the hotel, so it's worth requesting an even-numbered room if you're a light sleeper. Other than the noise issue on the first night, we had a great stay. There was a good choice of food on the breakfast buffet, and the hotel is ideally located for the brilliant nightlife, with plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would happily return."
