"The check in process was a bit odd. Was being asked about when I booked and other weird details when I had the booking confirmation in front of me and the booking name etc. The room was absolutely fine, the bed was so comfy, the shower was nice and hot and spacious, there was air con which was an absolute godsend. The music from downstairs wasn’t too loud so didn’t need the ear buds but nice touch! All in all a very good cheap stay! Would be perfect if you didn’t hear people opening and closing...

"Lovely dinner and staff. Breakfast is sent service continental style, so no cooked options which was a shame after the dinner. It's a 14th century pub, so lots of character and in a small village."

"An older property that will be considered characterful or dated depending on your viewpoint. I enjoyed it including the narrow stairs and corridors, and the historic nature of the room, which was not lacking for the usual amenities. I had an excellent dinner and the Full English Breakfast was all you could wish for. The staff were attentive and friendly. It is a short walk from the 24 hr public car park and is in the centre of town."
