"Just spent 4 nights at this lovely cottage. The cottage was very spacious for the 5 of us and everywhere was very clean. Very high standard equipment with everything that we needed eg washing machine, dishwasher etc. The weather was pretty poor but the cottage was cosy to return to, and the log burner was brilliant. Laura was helpful with any queries we had, and left a welcome pack. Plenty of walks in the local area. 2 good pubs in the next village, and Kirkby Stephen less than a 10 minute...

"We had a very relaxing stay in the beautiful village of Hawes. Steppe Haugh is certainly quirky, but that only adds to its charm. It is also spacious, comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean. We loved it here and would recommend it highly. The hosts have thought of everything and there is great attention to detail. "This is our second visit to Pottery Gate and yet again the cottage was perfect and absolutely immaculate throughout. Excellent location for all the pubs, restaurants and lovely walks in the sunshine. As always nothing was too much trouble for Ross. Friendly and professional as always. "We've stayed at this property several times in the past 18 months or so and have always rated in highly in reviews. This time around we felt that the fittings need refreshed. The sofa is stained and the carpets are in need of a clean/renewal. But we'd still come back again. The fittings are modern, the location is peaceful and local amenities are just a short walk away. "

"Short stay in Lake District, Windermere was a good base to explore. Property is very central and very cosy, perfect for accommodating 2 or 3 people. Cutlery dishes and mugs were not properly washed ( greasy); Parking is free, but quite challenging due to tight passage and little room for manouvering unless you have a small car. Beautiful scenery, and weather no too bad for Spring time so overall a very pleasant stay"
