"The rooms was great. The shower was FABULOUS! And we just LOVED this room. We were so sad to have to leave. The beds were so incredibly comfortable. "
"This is a great hotel with a fantastic history. Large, comfortable, quiet rooms in a serene setting. The staff is friendly, efficient, and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They made us feel like royalty. "
"Really good value for money, Japan accommodation is not cheap. this was very good for our family. Private Onsen is a nice touch too. Definitely recommend."
"Staff was fantastic and good food for breakfast and dinner. Very pleasant experience. But the area is pretty remote and would love to have more transportation options around the area. But still accessible via public transportation and very fun. "

"What a gem of a hotel to consider if visiting Nikko. This hotel has few rooms but fantastic staff and great service. Our breakfast and dinner were included and they were excellent. The private hot spring in the hotel was nice private and relaxing experience. You are within blocks of the temple and shrine and Shinkyo bridge. The rooms have complimentary drinks and snacks and are spotless and in good condition. Upon check out they provide free transportation to the train station. Ten out of ten. "
"A nice, clean hotel conveniently located very close to the station. The top floor offers a lovely view, and the simple breakfast was a good start to the day. Overall, a comfortable stay for one night in Nikko."

"Super charming little hotel near the river surrounded by lush trees and mountains. It’s an older place but it adds to the charm. The room was clean and the area is super walkable to all main attractions. And close to the bus stop for the attractions further away. "
"The oldest Western-style hotel in Japan. Beautiful elegant building and old world charm - a welcome change from the ultra modern hotels prevalent in Japan. Would thoroughly recommend."
"This place was a Mom & Pop operation with a very familial atmosphere. Ken and Ise were very welcoming and helpful with helping us get settled, finding our way around Nikko and just generally friendly and helpful. If you're interested in a more homey atmosphere vs. Corporate hotel this is the place for you
