"Wonderful historical building and a national landmark. Great option for history and architectural enthusiasts. The public areas are dramatic and stunning and would be impossible to replicate today.
Staff were great and very helpful. Nice breakfast buffet with many choices and great eggs to order like Eggs Benedict or Florentine.
As a former office building, the layout and rooms are quirky. Definitely request a room in the main building. The hotel rooms are spread out over several old buildings and we had one that was the absolute farthest from the entrance. To get to it was a maze of corridors, stairs and then an elevator. The room itself was great with views over the back canal, but it sure was a trek.
Hotel is convenient and a short walk to the central station and old city center. There are more central hotels if you want everything right outside your doorstep."
