"What a wonderful place! Very friendly service by Dole! Yummy home-made breakfasts! Quiet at night with quality beds and bedding! Sparkling clean bathroom. Huge bedrooms. Central location within 2 minutes walk to York Beach and Harbor. Host freely shared information about the surrounding area, including restaurants, beaches, parking, directions, etc. We absolutely enjoyed staying here, and over the years, we have stayed in many lodgings -- and this trumps them all! We intend to return!"

"When we turned on the heater, it produced such an awful smell, we immediately turned it off.
Other than that - excellence all around. Well, there have been noisy people in the hall for the last hour or so."

"Phone service not good in the area.
Not a problem just in hotel but all surrounding places.
Terrible tv. Had to have (owner?) come to our room and help us.
Rooms very clean. Lobby area flooring lifting up but due to be upgraded by Christmas. "
"Great location near shops restaurants and the Marginal Way. Lovely room ,very comfortable bed, nice linens and large bathroom. They accommodated early check in so we enjoyed the entire day.
Since it is a luxury inn they should have someone to help guests carry luggage upstairs.
Great coffee but breakfast was just OK

"The stay here was such a treat. The details that made it feel luxurious were very well appointed. In an area that has had a boom of modern hotels and restaurants The Danforth reminds me of the class and history Portsmouth is built on. Have already recommended the Danforth to friends. "

"This motel was the best and nicest clean and spacius room right next to the ocean. Cedar and her husband are the owners and are the nicest people. My husband and I were asking Cedar if there was a more scenic way back home when we leave rather than the highway. She told us and was so nice to even text me the directions herself. I felt like I knew her all my life. Definitely recommend staying here. "
"Perfect location to walk everywhere! The location is so pretty, clean and very well taken care of. The room was very comfortable with a sitting area, balcony and kitchenette.
The morning breakfast was wonderful, a great selection of fruit, breads and eggs to order....❤️❤️❤️.
Pre arrival there was an email sent to me as to where to park and enter property, this was such a seamless arrival. I will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you Grasshopper Inn!"
