"Well, it’s evident that you get what you pay for - especially here, lol.
I stayed here the night before a flight and paid about $110. Had a wonderful room on the 3rd floor - clean, updated, well taken care of. I then needed a place to stay a night AFTER my flight and found this same hotel for $60 so I thought it was a screaming deal…not so much.
For the $60 room I was sent to the basement rooms - which turn out to be the 1st floor below the lobby….better known as “steerage” in the cruising world. The room hadn’t been updated in several years judging by the bathroom walls and tub… among other things. This wasn’t so bad…. Until 730am the next morning when the cleaning crew started vacuuming the halls and doing what sounded like construction in the hall outside my room making it impossible to sleep. Did I mention the workers in the hallway yelling to each other at 730am?
So, note to self; if you pay $60 for a hotel you have been at previously that was wonderful, it likely isn’t going to be wonderful again. Basically, if you are given a 1st floor room, I would look for a different hotel. "
