"This hotel is a short drive to Monterey or even Santa cruz. It's not your average hotel where you wonder if the people are on vacation or if they're actually living there. It's right on the water which is near the Elkhorn Slough. You might see otters in the water and there are a variety of birds right outside of your window. The room was super cute. You have access to the shared kitchen and dining room in the house on the property. I will definitely be staying there again."

"For the price it was just right. The shower enclosure was basic, like what you’d find at your grandmas house. The water pressure wasn’t the greatest but it got the job done. There was damage to the back of the bathroom door that looked like a rush job and was sloppy. I booked it because there was a breakfast offered but we couldn’t find it - no signage. Again, it was ok for the price and it got the job done. "

"The air conditioner worked fine and parking was okay. Thank goodness for a ceiling fan. Even though there are signs everywhere about no smoking, the room smelled like pot every single day. When we reported it all the staff said was we’ll watch the cameras. On our last day there when we returned to the room for a short time we saw the guest stand outside, in front of the room smoking. It was a horrible smell that was constantly there. Also, we were there 5 days when we had house keeping...

"The cottage I stayed in needs some TLC. There were smudge marks around one of the doors, a loose switch plate in the bathroom, and a noisy fridge. The bathroom towels were gray in color, giving them a dirty look, the bottom sheet on the bed wasn't tucked in, and the pillowcases were too big for the pillows. The complimentary yogurt parfait for breakfast was fresh and delicious, but the pastry offerings are limited and tasteless. The hotel location is excellent, a stone's throw from the coastal...

"The room was great and larger than most we have stayed in. Bed was very comfortable. Room had all the amenities. If there was a down side it would be parking. rather tight and limited but we worked around that."

"We booked knowing it had a pool. Pool was unavailable for 1 of the days we were there. Tv wasnt working (they did fix, but went out again), was given 1 washcloth for 3 people. Older building and it shows in the tile shower. Our biggest disappointment was the pool as our autistic son was looking forward to it. We took the loss for our 2nd night and stayed somewhere nicer"

"The place was fine. The continental breakfast started at 8:00 that was a bit late, but there was coffee in the room. The room was nice and parking easy. The walk to see the sunset was short although the sun didn't really cooperate. "

"Room was musty and hot - we got the one without a balcony but did not realize it would have these weird patio doors - kinda off putting keeping them open for fresh air. Otherwise beds and linen were clean and comfy. Bathtub could do with an upgrade - had lots of chips. Location was amazing - easy walk to beach or downtown in opposite direction. Loved the included breakfast boxes - wish they did yoghurts for a healthier option. Drinking water was a nuisance since they had a pitcher in the back...

"Our room was located near the supply area so every morning the housekeeping staff would gather by our door and talk very loudly."

"The room was uncomfortable and did not feel safe. It was HOT and no AC at all. One fan for a two Queen bedroom. When I asked if some one can deliver one more fa -they could not accomodate it either. Overall-I did not feel safe there and what is advertized is not what is in reality."
