"We stayed at The Grand last weekend for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic, right next to the York wall and only a 5-minute walk into the town centre. The hotel staff were so welcoming, and the doormen in particular were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We parked in the NCP car park just around the corner, which was really convenient. Although the pool was closed for renovation (something we were aware of when booking), our stay was still perfect. "Situated in a lovely village where we went out to eat but the food there looks very good also. We went to the bar and played pool in the games room and also used there gym. Bed was comfortable and even got biscuits in the room so would say this is definitely value for money! "
