Wonderful stay in Varzo! Lovely mother and daughter hosts. Delicious homemade breakfast and very comfortable room with a nice view. Right down the hill from San Domenico ski area with excellent scenic hiking. Would recommend Chalet Il Picchio to all!

Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. This is an amazing hotel perfectly situated directly across from Grindelwald First. When I say directly across, I mean you can be at Grindelwald First in less than 5 mins. Less than that if you can walk a slight incline quickly. You are also perfectly situated by the shops and restaurants! The hotel is beautiful! This is a lovely hotel near the cable car that goes up the mountain. You can ski right up to the front door of the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and eager to please. The breakfast was very extensive and well-supplied, with high quality food. I had a very enjoyable stay here, and would come again without hesitation. Esther’s Guesthouse is perfectly situated in Gimmelwald and very close to the lift. The hosts are very welcoming and have a sweet kiddo that played with my kids on the playground while we stayed there. The village is charming and quiet. It’s a perfect family retreat.

This hotel was wonderful! Very friendly staff and cute interior design. There is no AC but everything else made up for it. Breakfast was a great bonus!

I’ve provided many reviews in the past as a simple courtesy, but I am obliged to submit this review based on yet another memorable stay at the Aspen. This was my third stay and the experience continues to be a 4+/5 star feel. My very well-appointed 3rd floor, corner suite had such excellent views of the surroundings, I ordered room service each night. A beautiful, historic property with fabulous views over the lake to the Alps. Excellent staff and service. A very good meal in an elegant dining room with a view to the waterfall. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling in the Interlsken area.

Central, convenient, easy access to all mountain excursions. Wonderful view of the surrounding mountains right in your face.

I stayed at the Tschuggen hotel with my wife for 2 nights. The location was right in the heart of Grindelwald; very close to the main train station and the gondola to First. There are many restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The owners arrange a wonderful breakfast for the guests every morning. Our room had a great view of the mountains behind the hotel.
