"Beautiful cabin in a fantastic location. Sally and her husband are so warm and welcoming and made the whole stay an absolute delight. The cabin itself is cute and cosy and has everything you need. The location is great and has a lovely little pub with great food just a couple of minutes walk away. There are plenty of walks straight from your doorstep. Sally told us to take apples and pears from her orchard and we have just made yummy apple pies with them. So thankyou for that. "

"There was lots of parking available. Check in was easy and the receptionist was very helpful in pointing out where our room could be found and where the spa could be accessed near our room. Having three single beds in one room is a really good idea for three adults to share - I went with my two daughters and none of us wanted to share a double bed so three singles in a room was exactly what we needed. The pool area was nice but some of the chairs were broken and the ceiling could do with painting as it was flaking of. The restaurant was lovely and so was the food. Check out at 11 instead of 10 like most places was a real bonus so we could have a lie in following the wedding we attended."

"I had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the historic building adds a lot of charm. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent—fresh and well-prepared. Only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely return!"
