I loved this hotel in Marangu. Very peaceful setting, quiet and clean grounds, nice quaint room. The staff was very nice and attentive.

Amazing architecture in a kind of a botanical garden with a pocket of rainforest in the backyard, great food, great service.

This hotel is beautiful and charming in a unique way. Surrounded by banana and maze plantation, they have brought nature in by keeping numerous beautiful potted plants in the rooms and around common areas. It makes the place uniquely beautiful!

As we drove down a dirt road to The Pink Flamingo, we wondered what we were getting into. As soon as we walked into the villa, we were smitten! It was gorgeous, beautiful, exquisite! The high ceilings, interesting African artifacts and photographs, stained glass windows, large bedrooms, pools and views were like a dream. The staff helped us with all of our needs. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very safe. Breakfast was included and was delicious and plentiful, too.

I really enjoyed my stay. This is a discount B&B with good service and spacious rooms. If you haven't been to Moshi yet, this hotel is slightly out of the town center. I would urge you to avoid the town center - it is really noisy and the air isn't good. On hot Tanzanian days, these things matter. The Secret Garden is adjacent to an open field and it is quiet. Also, the owner Daudi is an interesting person - ask him to tell you the story of this property - it's quite interesting!

The Stella Maris staff is the highlight of the facility. They immediately become family and treat you as such. The facility is very clean and very well kept. There are limitations that are to be expected as a part of visiting the country and area such as occasional area power outages (which are only a brief interruption till the generator comes on) and periodic brief Wifi disruption common for the area.
