Tokyo Dome Hotel

"I really enjoyed my stay here, I was here for nearly a whole week. Rooms were kept very clean, staff were great and I had a wonderful view. The only element that really concerned me was the lack security around accessing the hotel and guest spaces. The hotel is a central part of Tokyo dome city, and anyone can access the hotel, that includes the floors that JUST house guest rooms, without a room key. In all other Japanese hotels I stayed in you need a room key to access guest only floors, this is not the case here and I didn't feel that’s safe. The other element is that due to lots of large tour groups being in the hotel rotating in and out, getting a lift can be really hard at times, I had to queue for decent periods of time to either go up to my room, or on my floor I had to let several lifts go past as they were maxed out. I was surprised the hotel didn’t take the luggage up for the tour groups to make this process easier on all guests. But the key room issue was the main thing as a solo female traveler that concerned me. As a result even though I really enjoyed the hotel I wouldn’t opt to stay here again as being safe is the most important thing. To confirm the hotel felt very safe, but this lack of restriction on floor access was surprising and relies on nobody having ill intent."

"Lovely stay at Groove Shinjuku, great location to explore Tokyo as only a 5-10 min walk to Shinjuku station. Really helpful staff but don’t be turning up with multiple suitcases and storage space is limited"

"The hotel was great and in a brilliant location, a quick walk from the station and near convenience stores. It's just off the hustle and bustle of Ikebukaro so you get the buzz and the quiet! I would definitely stay here again"

"The hotel overall was amazing. Location was amazing right in the heart of everything close to the train station. We have an amazing time. The food was awesome. The staff was awesome. We really enjoyed ourselves. Our room was actually a nice size. I can’t wait to return."
