We stayed at this hotel for 18 nights. The neighborhood is iffy but the hotel is top notch and you can really see that the owners , managers and staff really care about their place . Rosas at Park is their In-house restaurant and everything we ate there was delicious. We loved the spinach salad with filet mignon and had it multiple times. It’s top-tier, once you get inside!

Excellent staff, very polite, accommodating and welcoming. Its minutes walk away from Times Square. Everything is near by. I love staying here. Always my go to hotel. Thanks

We have been to New York City many many times over the years. This hotel was our very favorite overall. We stayed at fancier ones. We’ve stayed at National chains. The personal care and attention you get from everyone at Hotel Scherman has been unsurpassed. While my husband would have preferred bacon and eggs biscuits and gravy for breakfast, the kids and I were very happy with the complementary continental breakfast. I'm a regular at Pod 39 when I come to NYC by myself. It's very minimalist and if I was planning to spend more time in my room, I'd go elsewhere, but exactly what I need when I'm in the city to see shows and check out some exhibitions. Always clean and my room is always ready when I arrive (which has not been my experience at other NYC hotels).

I was on the sixth floor and the room was extremely quiet, unusual for New York, rather spacious and yet on this particular night, relatively inexpensive for such a perfect location in New York. Don’t miss the Red Farm restaurant around the corner… worth trying even if a bit noisy. My main criticism of the hotel is actually the coffee bar and pastries for breakfast, which are too sweet and caloric for me, and limited to drip coffee if you want to use their free breakfast card. Great location! Great restaurants nearby! Comfortable beds. It would have been nice though if a little birthday card or something was put in my room! Other than that you cannot go wrong staying here and I’m planning to again!

This was an amazing place to stay. EVERYONE is friendly. The room is clean. The bed is huge and comfortable. The air gets so cold. The rooftop bar has BEAUTIFUL views of the city. Travel to NY often. The Arlo always is a great stay. Clean, smells amazing, good vibes, friendly/stylish staff, great decor, reasonably priced. Just do it. Stay here. Perfect for solo travel.
