Apartments in Southern Region

My husband, daughter (20), and I stayed at The Garage for 2 nights (April 30-May 2). This is one of my favorite places we have ever stayed! If you plan to stay overnight in south Iceland do not miss this gem. The location is close to all the sights and activities, but the Garage is so comfortable and charming you might not want to leave the property! Cool decor and design, large and comfortable room, great amenities, and a wonderful family that owns/operates the Garage makes this a unique spot....

Accomodation is perfect for a family of 4. Home away from home, it had all the amenities you need and a super accomodating host!

Beautiful and fully equipped!

Kristinn, the host was amazing. We simply asked for a later check out and she gave us an additional 2 hours, no problem. Place was adorable, hot-tubs were hot, plenty of parking for us all.

We loved our stay BUT the marketing photos and name of the hotel are very deceptive. You DO NOT get the horses coming to your cabin, there is a fence (electric) at least 20ft or more away from the cabins and the horses don’t come near you, you can see them afar from your cabin only. You can see Icelandic horses alllll over Iceland so this isn’t really a special experience. The cabins are wonderful and so is the overall location but you will be disappointed if you are going to want to do what...

Love this place

We stayed for two nights, and it was luxurious while also comfortable! Situated below the picturesque church and across from gas, hot dogs, a pub, and our ice cave meeting point, it couldn’t have been more convenient!

Excellent host; very responsive; good surroundings; convenient location for accessing sight seeing all the way from Blue Lagoon to Glacier Lagoon including the golden circle; used it as our base camp

Overall a very unique, beautiful, cozy place to visit in Iceland! Would highly recommend! I can tell a lot of heart and consideration went into the building of this tower, with so many lovely touches in the design. I loved looking through the photo album upstairs showing the history of this building. If it wasn't so cloudy during our visit, this place would provide incredible views of the Northern Lights with so many windows in every direction. I want to warn light sleepers that in the winter...

Travel with my cousin, we stay two night. The place is a simple one bed room apartment located in a nice and quiet property. It has washer , dryer , stove, coffee machine , water kettle, nice two twin bed one the bedroom and one in the living room . It a nice stay.

Check in was easy, but it’s not at the property. It is a very short walk away at a hotel We were in room 107. The room is like an efficiency apartment with a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom is considered two beds, but it could be a queen bed. The beds were super comfortable. The shower was nice. It had a towel warmer. The shower pressure was good and hot water was available at all times. The room had a small balcony. A hair dryer is available for use in the restroom...

The room was fantastic: clean, though there were a few food items left from previous occupants in the refrigerator, and the one window twisty thing was broken - but otherwise great. Everything in town is within a 5-10 minute walk.

Super friendly checkin even tho we were late, gorgeous views. Not much within walking distance, but all other ways EXCELLENT!

I recommend the Northern Comfort Apartments. They are a great size for 2 people who plan on spending most of their time seeing the sights. They are extremely clean with nice decor and cozy comforters on the bed. We really liked having the mini kitchen and nearby grocery store to make our own breakfast and coffee before heading out for a day of sight seeing. In walking distance of everything we wanted to see - great, quiet location.
