The market square is a few short steps away The railway station is a pleasant 30 minutes walk away, but it does have a bus service if the weather is not too good The cottage is spread over 3 storeys and is modern kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and sitting/living room is 1st floor and bedroom top floor. "Lovely little 2 bed house in great location for weekend in Thirsk - few mins walk to shops, restaurants, cinema, and there’s a pub serving food across the road. Clean, well equipped, good shower in bathroom too. Smooth check-in, no issues. Parking is busy but we always found a nearby spot. We used it as a base to visit the local area, loved visiting Nunnington Hall (nice scenic drive there). Great communication with host when needed. Would stay again if in the area."

"We rather liked Kemps Yard, which must be fairly new to the listing. Very convenient for Thirsk town, quietly hidden away from the main road, and clean and cosy. Parking in the yard is almost impossible, although the neighbour is an expert at manoeuvring his pickup down the lane! The visitor's permit lets you park on the road and saves you from endangering your vehicle, but you may get your step count up while you unload. We were ok with the cobbled lane, but it wouldn't be so good for those...
