"Closed to lighting exhibition as you can walk. Lobby was terrific but room was not like that. I stayed a night in Japanese styled room, it was stinky once I opened the door. "Extremely remote (nearly a 3 hour bus ride from Kinegawa Onsen Train station into the winding mountains) which was both an adventure and unnerving. "This property has seen better days. My single room was like a prison cell, just 1.5 meters wide. There was no view. The food was of very low quality but beer and sake were all you can drink for 70 minutes. There are no room amenities. You have to pick them up in the lobby, even the yukata. The outdoor and regular baths are on different floors which is very strange. The clientele is mostly retirees and they seemed happy enough."

"Quite a number of insects (suspected mosquitos) appeared in the room time to time even though the windows were all closed. Onsen bath is not opening 24 hours."

"Ultimate relaxation environment! Staff extremely helpful even with language barrier the desk clerks went above and beyond to help us with travel arrangements, taxis, food delivery, and more. The breakfast was incredible with the servers and chefs kindly providing an ultimate Japanese experience.
