"Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size."

"The accommodation is part of a working horse farm. We had an elevated view, with a big horizon. East facing, we witnessed magical sun rises and also a good view of the moon. The interior was beautifully clean. Everything we needed was all provided in a compact well thought out space. It felt like the hosts had really thought about guest comfort - it was all just lovely."

"Absolutely loved staying at the retreat. Danny and Helen are extremely welcoming, nothing is too much trouble (even helped to fix my car) ((be careful reversing in and out of drive, can be quite tight)). Beautiful view to wake up to, beds very comfortable. Welcome pack extremely useful and offered fresh eggs daily from their chickens. Local walks are beautiful. "Positive: location, the peaceful feeling of a country house, the view on the fields and horses, cozy apartment. Room for improvement: all 3 mattresses were sagging/broken, we all basically slept on springs. The radiator of the 2 single beds room was so noisy we had to turn it off. Wifi very weak but I guess it does not depend on the owners."

"Great location. Quiet area. Good value for money. Ideal size for a couple. Pet friendly. Perfect base for hiking as only a short drive to popular peaks. Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring. "
