"Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size."

"Can highly recommend Weir cottage. The location is perfect, on Wye Valley path. Peaceful and beautiful views of the river wye with pub next door. The house was clean and well stocked. Would definitely return."

"Positive: location, the peaceful feeling of a country house, the view on the fields and horses, cozy apartment. Room for improvement: all 3 mattresses were sagging/broken, we all basically slept on springs. The radiator of the 2 single beds room was so noisy we had to turn it off. Wifi very weak but I guess it does not depend on the owners."

"We have just returned from a beautiful weekend away at this property for my dad’s 70th birthday. The property is really lovely as is the location. Prior to the visit the housekeeper Tracey was so accommodating and helpful too. The only downside is one bathroom and for 6 guests there was often a queue for toilet or shower! Apart from that highly recommend!"

"Great location. Quiet area. Good value for money. Ideal size for a couple. Pet friendly. Perfect base for hiking as only a short drive to popular peaks. Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring. "
