Loved the property itself so much! However, the location isn’t ideal if you aren’t renting a car. Getting taxis to and from minori/maiori/Amalfi was the biggest headache ever. Also, the phone number listed through Expedia isn’t updated. We weren’t able to get into our room when we first arrived because we had no way of contacting the property to get inside. Other than that, the property itself is amazing and has the most amazing views and a very convenient restaurant downstairs! Also...

The owner does everything herself. She is so sweet and will do anything to make you feel welcome.

Accommodation was very basic but adequate easy for day tripping to the Amalfi coast.

This is a spectacular boutique hotel! The views of the coastline and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms cannot be beat. This is 5-stars for the room views, the service, the updated exquisiteness of the décor, and the added amenities (pool, balconies, outdoor dining, access to oceanfront restaurants, etc. Don’t expect a Sheraton or Hilton type place….this isn’t that, and you shouldn’t be here looking for that here. Truly the most incredible service. They gave recommendations for food right when we got there and on our last day when the ferry was canceled assisted with helping me find other transportation. Best breakfast of my life. We were celebrating my 30th birthday and they brought me a candle!! The shower was the shower of my dreams. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The location was excellent, close to the lift you can take up from the port if you’re coming by boat. Close to lots of restaurants and a great view of the sea and port. We were upgraded to a king room with the largest shower I have ever seen in Italy. The front desk staff was super friendly. Daily happy hour and breakfast were wonderful perks. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first visit to Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful with a great full breakfast. Room was spacious, staff was friendly & the housekeepers sweet. We had dinner twice in the rooftop dinning room overlooking the bay. The sunset was amazing. The waitstaff friendly , the food five star. We also danced to the music which made it very romantic. The path winding through the cliffs to the small bar and lounge chairs along the water is very unique. Very small wading pool on upper terrace. Classic double room was small and non-descript. Disappointed with the size of balcony and the sea view from room!

The Ara Maris which is referred to as the new hotel was one of my best stays at any hotel in all my travels, which is considerable. The service from all the staff whether it be registration, concierge, dining, pool, cleaning or spa wax consistently top notch. It is a physically pleasing site and is close to all the shops and restaurants in the main area of Sorrento. We were there for 8 days and could have stayed longer. We enjoyed our stay . The staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Our was big and the view of the coast from our room was magical . The bartender at the bar is so pleasant and helped us out a lot his drinks were also so good. The hotel is about a 20 min drive to Positano and Amalfi . The walk to the beach is about 8 mins and there are 2 restaurant options by the beach which were good

The hotel offers modern eclectic decor. Very unique... Including multicolored lights in the bathroom shower area. Friendly staff and great restaurants that are walkable.. The hotel offered and organized a trip to a local restaurant high up in Positano called Da Costantino. Well worth the visit. Fantastic views. The tiramisu was really good. Great bar area which also offers a full buffet breakfast for €25/day. Alternatively, you can order off the à la carte menu, which includes omelettes, coffee,...
