"We chose to stay at the Sunset due to its location and walkability to Stanley Park, the museum, Vancouver Aquarium, Granville Island and the downtown area as a whole. We flew into Vancouver late in the evening and the staff ensured that we had the info to gain entrance to the hotel and our room by emailing it to us earlier that day. We stayed in a superior king room and it had all the amenities we needed - a well stocked kitchen and private bedroom. We bought some groceries at shoppers and ate breakfast in our room. I loved the scents of soaps and lotions in the kitchen and bathroom and having the amenity cupboard in the hotel lobby made it easy to grab extra coffee, tea or other supplies we needed. There is an umbrella stand in the entry, but we didn't use them as we brought our own. On checkout day we took advantage of the luggage lockers as our flight didn't leave until supper. We locked up our luggage and walked to the aquarium. After we came back to the hotel, grabbed our luggage and walked to the yaletown roundhouse station and took the skytrain to the airport. It was very convenient. Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Vancouver and the Sunset Hotel was perfect for our needs. We were here during the week and the hotel was nice and quiet during our stay. It is downtown, so some road noise/sirens were heard. "
