Hotels.com said they negotiate a refund because there was a substantial difference between the private BA option and the shared BA option, but they were unsuccessful in negotiating that. "

"Property is awesome !! It used to be a monastery. Room was large n spacious with a beautiful view of the canal 😍, unit equipped with kitchen. Must add a mirror in the rooms ;) there is laundry. Breakfast was great. Distance to Rialto bridge is 15 min walking. "Great location and cleanliness of the hotel. Walking to train station and all attractions. The only 4 star I gave is for age of the building and rooms. Looks very old but in perfect condition. I didn’t stay in other hotels in Venice but I assume all are old as well as the city is old and they can’t demolish buildings. Anyway, great hotel, staff and price and I recommend it."

"within walking distance from the train station- the train goes to Venice and from there you take a vaporette or water taxi to go around Venice. The staff was good. The website says that they have shuttle to the airport for a surcharge, from previous reviews it looked like it was around 25$ - I was charged 61 euros as they told me it was 50 euros for shuttle(taxi) and extra 11 euros for tax as I was paying by credit card. "We stayed for three nights… location is fantastic. Easy to walk to everything, but not loud. Staff did a great job communicating before arrival to fully understand how to check in (we arrived after hours). Room was small but fine. Bathroom was fantastic. Bed was very hard… some people like that- I would have preferred it to be softer. Overall, great experience and I would book again. "

"My family loved our stay here. It was quiet and comfortable. The apartment was spacious and had 2 bathrooms and 2 nicely decorated bedrooms. Also provided was a bottle of still water and a bottle of carbonated water. The ceilings are a bit low so might be a problem if you are tall. There is also a small washing machine in the apartment with a drying rack which was very helpful. "Foresteria Levi was exactly what we needed. Centrally located close to the Accademia bridge it allowed us to visit all the sites in Venice in the short time we had. Our room was clean and spacious and accommodated our family of four. It provided a breakfast at a reasonable cost. Staff was very nice and helpful. At the end of our stay we had a water taxi come directly to the location’s own dock on the central canal to take us to the train station."
