"Access to our room was easy. The room is clean and comfortable. The location is good and near restaurants and the public pier. There is a lanai with tables and chairs for dining and a view of a small horse ranch bordered by the ocean. "

"We were upgraded to an ocean view room. Spectacular! Super quiet, comfortable bed, excellent shower and great Nespresso! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. "This was a unique and authentic Hawaiian experience. The cottage was clean, spacious and comfortable with all of the amenities we needed. The grounds were impeccably maintained. The views and sounds of waves, birds and chickens made it better than any chain resort. It’s a little remote but Nāpali boat experiences and the Waimea Canyon are right outside your door. "
"Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Royal Sonesta Kauai. It's connected to a Marriott resort, so there are a lot of restaurants and different spaces in which to relax. Our room was updated and clean, though they only provide in-room services every two days.
As a vegetarian, there were limited options and our best meals were off the resort.
We traveled all over the coastline to many beaches and I'm glad we did. The beach at the resort is fine, but there are a lot better ones elsewhere. The pool is pretty empty early in the mornings and then later in the evenings and I swam laps and relaxed during those times."
