"We had a really lovely 1 night stay in the Highland pod at the Cow & Plough. The bed was unbelievably comfy and the pod was well designed, cosy and warm with quite a lot of room for two. It had all the things we'd need for a short stay â€“ only needing our toiletries and food. We found the shower pressure wasn't great but manageable. "A lovely night away including a delicious meal at the Cow and Plough. The walk around the grounds was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the animals.A couple of comments: hooks on both sides of the bathroom door to hang clothes would be good. Also hooks on the front doors so you can hook them both open. We took our own wine glasses so having some them there would have been good."

"I booked this cottage as it was a very good price for a one night stay. Iâ€™d recommend as it was in a very peaceful area, with a lovely pub that does nice food about a minute walk away. The only downside to the properties area was the internet connection, as data was struggling for connection. The hot tub was brilliant, would recommend to make sure you burn wood straight away as it takes a while to warm up. It was a very cosy night and Iâ€™d definitely recommend and even come back again."

"We had a lovely stay at Baileys Tavern with our 3 small dachshunds. We were visiting and being visited by relatives from Leicester. They all agreed that it was a very comfortable and clean house, we were happy that our dogs were safe and happy in the secure garden.The village was nice and the people friendly and there were some lovely places to visit nearby.My only suggestion would be for a couple of garden chairs to enjoy the mild weather. "Had a lovely 2 night stay in this lovely cottage, set in a lovely friendly village with a great pub within walking distance from the cottage.The owner left us a lovely welcome pack for us and our 2 cocker spaniels which was greatly appreciated .Would definitely recommend, and we will definitely come back."

"Front door is 5 yards from busy A43. Contacted owner for key code Friday am for Friday stay did not reply till 14.21 Sunday. Builders next door Hammering just after 7 Saturday and Monday. Cover on front bed filthy. Toilet seat not attached correctly. No logs provided for log burner or tools. Welcome pack not as advertised no wine no milk no eggs no crisps small loaf. Outside area no parasols cushions left outside dirty and cigarette burn, and a broken chair. Broken glass in cupboard. Very noisy...

Mercure Nottingham City Centre George Hotel

An enjoyable stay with a goodnights sleep

"An old quirky hotel with aircon in the room - awesome. Old furniture and fittings in room were great. Good shower with all the extras from kettle, soaps, shampoo, a glass in the bathroom for teeth (most places no longer provide). Hospitality had all we needed including biscuits. Only a one night stay for the Arena - 3 minutes walk away - but really enjoyed with a good nights sleep. All reception staff we met were smiley and courteous. Will be back."

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, and the air conditioning was great. The shower had great temperature and water pressure. The breakfast buffet was also very good and had many options for food / beverages. The location was very close to the train station, and about a 15 minute walk from city centre. Would definitely stay here again. "

Excellent- breakfast good for those will allergies

"As expected, clean, great service, quiet. Compliments to the breakfast staff. With a family member who cannot eat Gluten or dairy, and usually stays away from buffet and hotel breakfasts, we were pleased to find a separate area for gluten free cereal and toast, with a dedicated toaster. Variety or dairy free milk, and the chef serving the cooked breakfast was able to immediately and knowledgeably point out the gluten free options. Reassuring and made for a worry free morning."
